Noa has been under a contract with the Egyptian Goddess 'Neith' for the last 9 years, having made an agreement over his soul at his deathbed. A direct result of this is that Noa is a 'sphinx'- a creature with the body of a lion (albeit a mountain lion), and the head of a human. In exchange for his continued life however, he is required to regularly perform two collective acts as payment.

The first of these is quite simple; he is to perform a daily offering to Neith, typically of fresh caught game or bread, after lighting a small flame of incense (or another scented plant). This offered meal is to be placed into a source of running water, that it may be taken and consumed by the goddess herself. Failure to comply with this contract results in two things; first, Noa's luck and fortune gradually worsens until it either threatens and takes his life, or until he sufficiently offers an apologetic offering. This entails an offering of greater quality- roasted goose, or similar luxuries as seen by those of old Egypt.

The second of Noa's contracts involves more involved activity, being action in the form of Neith's son, 'Tutu'. Minor among these duties is the guidance of lost spirits; any that Noa encounters in his day-to-day must be guided to the nearest sanctuary, gateway, or psychopomp, that they must move on to their respective afterlife. To ignore this duty is to be drawn naturally to the spirit until his task is complete. Secondary is the combat against 'worldly threats'; though vague in definition, the translation of this request is to combat any supernatural threats encountered in his day-to-day. If he so refuses this task, he will be drawn regularly into danger until he either battles the threat, or perishes.

Lastly and most predominantly however are his duties to the realm of dreams. As 'Tutu', Noa's chief task is to patrol the dreams of local beings in order to combat and chase away nightmares. Similar to his waking duties, to ignore these threats is to be regularly drawn into them until he is overwhelmed. Provided he does not incur this wrath however, Noa is unable to locate dreams that he cannot combat- and indeed, an 'impossible' nightmare is Neith's final resort. This, however, is his 'regular' task; whenever Noa sleeps, he will be on patrol.

Contractual Abilities

🐱 Divine Mode • Medium Potency

During moments of dire need, Noa is capable of calling upon additional power from Neith; however, as he himself is no deity, this power comes at the risk of growing ‘berserk’. In dice terms, in exchange for a bonus of +5 for 2 tags, he must avoid a roll of 1.

While in his Divine state, Noa gains the more regal features of Tutu; a serpent for a tail, the horns of a ram accompanied by cobras, as well as great feathers framing a solar disk above his crown. Minor details such as kohl, and jewelry, may also appear.

🐱 Health + Regeneration • As part of his rejuvenation under Neith’s contract, Noa is naturally resistant to getting ill (though the common cold escapes her). In addition to this, cuts and bruises typically heal within a day, with most severe injury repairing itself within a week.

🐱 Power Boost • Noa has received an overall power boost as part of his contract; this grants him a +2 to all rolls and abilities.

Noa lacks no Persona at this time. However, if it so develops, it will likely be a combative type.

A dressphere obtained extremely recently, Noa's allows him to adopt the role of a healer and protector; it cloaks him in a white hood, with the ears of a cat.

🐱 Pray • The basic ability imbued within Noa's dressphere; by praying to Neith for assistance, allies can be healed just slightly.

Cat Paw Earrings

A set of earrings commissioned by Yugo via Santa. Noa is rather fond of them, and they are imbued with both luck and warmth.

Magic Blouse

A blouse that perfectly fits his human form- while hardly something he can depend on as a sphinx, it does at least mean he can be somewhat prepared for the unexpected; it's bulletproof.

House + Home

Cup of Purity

A drinking horn using the horn of a unicorn. It neutralizes nearly any poisons or toxins, making it a useful emergency glass- especially when Noa can't be sure about the local water quality. It apparently applies to alcohol however, so he can't perform any offerings with it.

Lava Lamp

A fortunately battery powered lava lamp, perfect for making things groovy. Strangely, it doesn't seem jarring while surrounded by skeletons.

Snowglobe

A cute snowglobe with a model of Kaisou inside, to bring in the holiday spirit. Unfortunately, surrounded by candlelight and cobwebs, it brings a different vibe entirely.

Magic Shampoo

Shampoo with a curse- it causes ones hair to grow to rapunzel length. Noa hasn't used shampoo in almost ten years though, so he has no idea yet. He's only keeping it in case someone needs it. Uh oh.

Throw Pillow

A massive pillow meant to be tossed on a couch. Instead it's become a shared bed between himself and the bear somehow.

Advent Candles

24 different candles as uncovered from one of the bonus calendars he received. Noa actually has places for these now, but he saves certain scents for Neith's offerings.

Otamatone

Shaped like a music note, this curious device can make music...technically. Its entirely white, making it look a bit like a bizarre ghost.

Advent Tools

Revealed one by one from an advent calendar he received from the goodwill, Noa now has a full tool kit for home projects. It's a shame he's no good with them.

Forbidden Jolly Rancher

A rock, watermelon tourmaline specifically, which actually has a taste- Noa can lick it, and it tastes like watermelon.

Fishing Pole

A normal fishing pole, Noa is considering taking up the hobby if only to diversify his offerings to Neith.

Wooden Puzzles

A secret santa gift that, admittedly, had been lost to the snow; that it was found at all was potentially only because of how much fire was thrown around to get him out one day. They're simple, but entertaining.

Crafting Voucher

A voucher for a crafted item from Shio, gifted for the holidays. Noa isn't sure what to use it for just yet.

Mood Thermometer

A unique thermometer that judges mood rather than temperature. It's tricky to read however, as it's constantly under red or green light.

Holy Rubber Duck

When holding this object, ducks naturally flock to Noa. He's used it at least once to snag fowl for an offering, though the speed they can flee between arriving and him putting the duck down makes it too annoying to do constantly.

Advent Seeds

Various seeds now planted in planter pots and trays, having now acquired the space to do so. They're growing rather slowly for the most part, but he has high hopes for what he thinks is going to be a peach tree.

Elemental Magic

🐱 Bird Communication • Basic

• At this level of power, Noa is capable of understanding and communicating basic concepts to birds of all forms and intelligence. While corvids and other smart bids clue in quick, Noa can successfully use this to catch certain prey

🐱 Conjure Lightning • Master Level

• An offensive spell, which allows Noa to generate massive amounts of lightning in battle. He can both summon it from the skies, and spit it from his mouth.

🐱 Plant Growth • High Level

• A power sourced to his second element of Earth- it causes plants to grow incredibly fast, with trees taking only a few weeks.

Miscellaneous Abilities

🐱 Living Battery • The ability to charge any object or device with a battery using physical contact.

🐱 Dream Viewer • An ability granted by Neith. It allows Noa to fall into the dreams and nightmares of others, albeit uncontrollably, during his sleep.

🐱 Shapeshifting • High Affinity

• A shapeshifting ability granted to him by Neith. It allows him to take any number of forms, provided they are smaller than a horse. Primarily, he takes the form of a young man, or a house cat.

🐱 Strength Boost • Medium Level

• A general strength boost granted to him through his contract with Neith. It gives him three times the strength of a mortal man.

🐱 Fictive Flexibility • An ability granted alongside his species change as a sphinx. It allows him to move beyond his physical limits to grasp objects or even stand.

🐱 Draconic Wings • Great and scaled wings, indicative of a dragon. Due to a flaw, they're always visible, but they're capable of flight.

🐱 Stone Gaze • Medium Level

• Associated with his dragon changes, and specifically those of a Basilisk, Noa is capable of freezing people by staring at them. This power manifests until he blinks or looks away under most circumstances.
